How Color Book Maker works

  1. 1. Upload a photo

    Any clear JPG or PNG works: a phone portrait, a pet, a bouquet, a street. The app stores the upload only to build your page. Bright light and a simple background give the cleanest outlines — the same advice Crayola and other photo-to-page tools publish because contrast is what a line-art model can “see.”

  2. 2. Choose palette, detail, and page shape

    Palette size (3–12) becomes the color key. Detail level changes how small the regions get. Page dimensions open a crop overlay when the photo does not already match square, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, or 3:4. Drag the frame, scroll or pinch to zoom, then continue.

    Behind the scenes, Color Book Maker builds line art and a photo-matched palette (Gemini-backed when configured) in parallel, then composes a color-book page with optional numbering.

  3. 3. Download and color

    Preview the color-book page, the plain line art, and the palette. Download PNG, JPEG, or PDF. Print, or keep the file for a party pack or classroom set.

What you can change without starting over

Upload once, then try another dimension or a different detail level if the first page is too busy or too simple. Kids pages and adult pages are the same tool with different settings — see kids and adult coloring.
