How do I turn a photo into a coloring page?

Is this a paint-by-number generator?

Yes. Regions can be numbered and paired with a palette sampled from the photo, which is the same idea as a custom paint-by-number kit, delivered as a printable sheet. See custom paint by number.

What photos work best?

Well-lit photos with one clear subject and a simple background. Blurry, very dark, or heavily filtered images make weaker outlines.

Can I make an easy page for a child and a harder page for myself?

Yes. Use simple-kids style, fewer colors, and low detail for children. Use botanical or classic style and high detail for an adult session. Same photo, two settings.

What size should I print?

Square and 4:3/3:4 crops sit most naturally on letter and A4. The download panel estimates print inches at typical DPI. Details: printable coloring pages.

Do I need an account?

No. Use the page, download the file. Keep a copy of photos you have the right to turn into art — especially other people’s children.

Can I sell the pages?

You may print pages from photos you own or are licensed to use. You cannot treat other people’s photos, trademarks, or licensed characters as yours to republish. If you sell on Etsy or KDP, you are responsible for the rights review.

Why did my crop popup appear?

A non-original page dimension needs a crop when the photo’s aspect ratio does not already match. Drag the pink frame, then continue. Cancel returns you to the original ratio.
